So this last weekend i was able to catch not only 1 but 2 movies. I was so excited and so very proud. I am a huge movie buff! I love the movies. Back in the good ol' days when i had the time and the funds, i went to the movies a few times a week. On Friday mornings I'd start my day off by calling all 4 movie theaters to find out when every movie started. My friends would call me instead of the theater to find out what movies were were playing, when they started, what the new releases were for that week, or what a specific movie was about. I miss those days. So I'm going to share my opinion about the movies i saw. Reviewing movies is one of my favorite things to do!
The Bucket List
Comedy/Drama
97 Mins
January 11th, 2008
Rating: PG-13 for language, including a sexual reference.
Starring: Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman, Sean Hayes
Director: Rob Reiner
I'm not a big Jack Nicholson fan. He always plays a creepy man who psycho and rude and obnoxious. I wonder if he plays those characters because that's the way he is in real life.. Huh i don't know! Anyways. The Bucket List. For me, it was a little slow in getting started. It took me a while to get into but once i was captured, i fell in love with these two old men (not literally) and the friendship that they built in such a short amount of time. It was a lot funnier than i expected it to be too. I love a movie that you can be laughing your guts out and 2 seconds later bawling you're eyes out. This is one of those movies. It makes you take a step back and realize whats important and whats not.. In the end, it's you're closest friends and you're family that make life worth while!! I give it 4 outta 5 waffles. Yes, it was that good of a movie!
Jumper
Action/ Adventure
90 Mins
February 14, 2009
Rating: PG-13 for sequence of intense action violence, some language and brief sexuality
Starring: Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson
Director:Doug Liman
I wasn't sure what to expect going into this movie. I had heard both good and bad things about it! It is a fun and intense movie. It's from the same director as the Bourne Identity and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, both movies i was a big fan of. I knew there was going to be some really fun action scenes. Not as many as i hoped but they were still fun! I kept thinking man.. "i wish i was a jumper.. Life would be so easy. I wouldn't have to fly to Nate and Karissa in Cali.. i could just jump there." Defiantly not the depth of emotion to be felt as in The Bucket List, it's a man movie,, a thriller! The over all story line was pretty good. I think a little bit better character development would have been good and helpful. Maybe a little more info on jumpers as a whole would have been good too. They left it open for a 2nd one so i hope it's at least as good as this one!! I give it
3 waffles outta 5! Not too shabby!
Hopefully more movie reviews to come!

p.s. i don't know if you watch seinfeld or not but this all reminds me of this episode where kramer changes his number and people keep mistaking it for the moviephone line so he ends up memorizing all the movies and times and just pretends he's that guy. its so funny. :)
sure am glad I know how to spell waffles:)
