California Adventure Day #4

It was Sunday.. my favorite day! We went to the Zohan movie and walked out! If i would have paid for it i probably would have stayed but it didn't cost anything and it was dirty. I don't mind stupid funny but i hate dirty funny! The real adventure was Karissa and Nates ward. WOW! I though mine was bad. They talk a lot about gay marriage! It was strange. It was their ward conference and during Sunday school their stake president talked about the difference between policy and commandment. He was very hesitant to do so but he asked if anyone had a question about the differences. Boy oh boy did that open up a can of worms. There was a guy who was blatantly being difficult. I was kind of annoyed with him.

I totally forgot to write this about Day #3. We stopped in Malibu to see if we could find any celebrities at a sushi place called Nobu. We parked next to a field and there were bunnies just chillin' in this field. It's Malibu, you never think that such normal things happen there such as having bunnies in a field. It was just a strange concept to me! So what did i do, i jumped out and started chasing them! I'm sure people though i was freaking nuts!

If you look you can see 2 bunnies!

At Nobu there was paparazzi all over the place but no one famous that we could see, too it was earlier in the evening like 9 and odds are we'd have to wait a few hrs to see any stars! There were some sweet cars too! Nate was in heaven! It was fun !

We watched TMZ the next day and the only person who was there that they caught was the chick from the Sopranos.. who the heck is she??

This is my favorite story, i posted this on Karissa's blog as my memory of her and i didn't want to write it all out again so i just copied it and pasted it on here!

I've been dying to share this with everyone. I have a TON of stories i could share about Karissa and i don't care about the rules that she has set. BUT i want to share the most recent memory of my Roo. I literally just got back from her house last night. We had a great time running all over L.A.

Some of you probably don't know but Karissa LOVES LOVES LOVES Josh Harnett he is a Greek god in her eyes.. this becomes important later in the story!

We had the bright idea of stopping in Malibu on our way back from Orange County. There is a sushi place called Nobu (not sure that's spelled right) it's where all the stars go.. i hear about it a lot on TMZ. ANY WHO...

We stopped at Nobu to see if there happen to be any stars coming and going. There was paparazzi ALL OVER the place with their big fancy cameras and such. They were all just waiting for some celebrity to come walking out.. so we hung around for 10 or 15 minutes. Some one walked out and all the paparazzi flocked and snapped photos like this person would disappear if they blinked. Karissa's eyes got HUGE and she took off yelling OH MY GOSH!!! OH MY GOSH!!! OH MY GOSH!!! THAT'S JOSH HARNETT!! THAT'S JOSH HARNETT!! She ran over to him to ask if we could a get picture with him. (By this time the paparazzi had realized it was no one special)Karissa says to him "Hey Josh, can uh we get a picture with you?" and he turned around and it wasn't Josh Harnett, in fact it wasn't even a boy.. it was some chick (probably a millionaires daughter) that has super short hair and kind of a manly build... She turned to Karissa and said "Excuse you Bitch?" All Karissa could say was "oh hell I'm sorry. oh my hell I'm so sorry!" I ran and grabbed Karissa's arm and said to this manly looking rich chick "I'm sorry, she's had bit to drink tonight she's kind of a light weight. Have a good night!" and we hauled back to the car with everyone pointing and laughing!! Ya gotta love California!

California Adventure Day #3

We started the day at noon.. someone couldn't get out of bed! Karissa's grandma and husband are missionaries working in the bishops store house. So we headed there to check out the place and see how things work there, we even cleaned a little! It was actually pretty cool so see how it runs and what it was like. It's like a store.. crazy!

Then we headed back for home, on our way we stopped at a burger joint called Farmer Boys. It was really good. There was a guy across a way from us who was talking about how much money he made and that he bought 30 movies within the last week.. all i wanted to do was ask him which ones.. i held my tongue. But the food was great!

We stopped at Venice Beach.....WOW! Karissa let me know that it's KIND OF like Vegas. People are trying to get you to take things out of their hands and trying to get you to buy their stuff. She told me that guys will come up and try to get you to listen to their music then guilt you into buying their CD. So i was prepared to just keep walking. We walked down the sidewalk where they have all these stores on one side and people who are just selling their own crap that they have made on the other, so you're completely surrounded. We weren't there 5 minutes yet when this big black guy came up to me and said, "hey come listen to music." I kept walking and said no thanks with a big uncomfortable smile on my face. He kept walking with us and started rubbing my arm with the CD case, "come on baby, i know you'll like my music." I kept walking and he yelled, "What you too good to talk to me?" I didn't say anything, i kept walking, and he yelled again, "FINE! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A WHITE RACIST! GO OBAMA!" And all 3 of us bust out laughing! Killer! It was so funny.

i thought this pigeon was cool looking!

We continued walking there were all these people on this hill kind of thing they were all beating different drums and then there were all these people dancing. There was no music just the beat of the drums. We walked over to watch them for a few and the overwhelming smell of pot took over. I looked around and everyone was passing joints around.. I'm so sheltered!

this guy had everything he owned in that drum!

We kept on moving and came upon some guys... a few of them VERY attractive.. there was this Mexican guy with this hat.. WOW... anyways they were doing all these jumps and flips and break dancing. It was kinda cool!

Let's be honest.. these abs are what i was really watching!

Not this Mexican guy.. we didn't get a picture of the cute one

ANY WHO... we watched for a few minutes and they did their whole act. For their finale they did this whole chant thing about how we are all from different places and we're all different colors but there is only one race and that's the human race and we're all family.. I thought to myself.. oh tender. And then they chose 6 people from the audience. one of the guys was going to do a flip over these 6 people, but before they did that they jumped into this chant were they asked for money and tips. Then they said if you're black you only have to give $5 , and if you're Mexican you have to give $10, but if you're white you have to give $20 cuz the white folk are rich. I thought to myself, "huh what just happened to our song about there is no race except the human race?" i almost walked away. The funny thing was a black guy is the one who gave them $20! Then he did the flip over 6 people! It was actually pretty cool!

People did crazy things for money!

Pics for Tips

This guy was counting his money.. Holy crap he had a good day. He didn't know we took his picture!

It was a good time! I know I'm sheltered and naive but honestly, I'm grateful! Venice Beach confirmed a lot of speculations and personal beliefs. It was awesome though!

TREND WATCH: While i was there i learned the new trend for girls is not doing the button of your pants up and wearing a short shirt. I saw over 100 girls like that and every time i saw them i wanted to saw "Cow are getting out!" I know better than to start that crap!

California Adventure Day #2

We went to the Orange County Fair! It was HUGE biggest fair I've ever been too! We had such a blast! And lets be honest the reason to go to a fair is the FOOD!!!

Pizza on a Stick! Yummy!

You are what you eat!

We watch this crazy acrobatic stuff. I do not condone their behavior! It's not safe! Check this out!

Ok this isn't much She's just balancing on some benches..

Yeah.. that is a small stool with board across it, on top of that board is 4 bricks on each side AND then benches on those 4 bricks! Are you kidding me??

This dude was crazy! There a pedestal thingy and then there are 4 wine bottles and then he so far, he has 3 chairs stacked on them.

Yep count them.. that is 6 chairs.. he is balancing on 6 chairs that are resting on 4 wine bottles.

If that wasn't enough he tipped the top chair and was just hanging out on it! They're NUTS!!!

WE went to a motor cross thing. i don't remember what it was called but the bikes didn't have brakes. they went around 4 track 4 times. It was crazy! The wrecks were AWESOME!

We also went to a hypnotist. By far the funniest I've ever been too. He was hilarious. I had a couple picture but i can't find them. Oh heck!! I've never laughed so hard!!!

It was pretty much another perfect day! We had a BLAST!

California Adventures Day #1

It's unfortunate that I am back in Idaho! I had one heck of time. As soon as Karissa picked me up I started a list of Things that really happen in California, like in the movies. It's turned into quite the list. I also started a list of all the license plates we saw while cruising through the L.A. area. I'll Share those later!

Karissa picked me up at the airport on Wednesday afternoon. My plane came in early and she hit traffic so there was so scene at the airport like both hoped. Then it was back to her pad and the first thing i did was take a picture of the beach and then i jumped in!

I love feet pictures

Thursday morning Roo came and woke me up at 6 am. She said to me "Am you wanna see something cool? Well i guess it's not cool but just come look." So i very unwillingly crawled outta bed wondering what in the world could be so exciting to wake me up at 6am while i was on vacation. I followed her in to her bedroom and looked out her balcony there were 2 police cars, and entire section of the street was taped off and there was a yellow tarp half on the side walk and half way in the road. Just underneath that tarp i could see a hand. Down the road a bit was a bike torn to shreds. We gawked at the scene for about a half hour and i had to get more sleep if i was gonna make it through the day HERE'S more details about that story.

Thursday was Roo's Birthday!! Happy Birthday Roo!!!

Finally i decided I'd get out of bed and Roo and i went shopping at a mall in Ventura.. i think. We went to Old Navy and they were having a killer sale. I got 5 t shirts and a pair of sweat pants for $22.

We had to stop at the Disney store and i found a
Captain Jack Sparrow hat.. i almost bought it!

Then it was home to get ready for our big night. We drove to Buena Park to go to Medieval Time. It was amazing! There was sword fighting and jousting. The food was really good too. We had a half of chicken, spare rib, baked potato, soup, and garlic bread and we had to eat it all with our hands. It was killer.

There were 6 different colored knights and everyone was assigned a knight to cheer for. Ours was the Black&White Knight. Don Iofre Santa Creu, defender of the ancient shrine at Santiago De Compostela, He is mightiest in skill among an order of warrior priest whose arrival upon the field brings despair to the impure of heart. In prayer, humble. In service, Loyal. In battle, Invincible.

Which isn't true cuz 5 knights fight the green knight and our dear black and white knight was the first to go!

It was so a fun show, our knight was adamant about getting us involved and cheering loud. It was it so much more fun. He brought flowers by and threw those to people who were cheering the loudest and the most. Needless to say I got one.

Oh.. our Knight in Shining Armor!! GGRRR!!

We stayed at Grandma Susan's for the night. We were exhausted! But GOSH it was just an amazing fun day!!!

We were so tired we had a hard time brushing out teeth! We're such dorks!

I couldn't part with my beautiful flower!!!

WHY SO SERIOUS???

I've been terrible at putting my movie reviews on here. I promise you The Dark Knight isn't the last movie I've seen from Indiana Jones, I'm just busy!!!

The Dark Knight
Action/ Thriller
152 mins
PG-13 for Violence & Gore/ Frightening &Intense Scenes
Director: Christopher Nolan
Christian Bale (YUMMY), Heath Ledger, Micheal Caine Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman

W-O-W! What a movie. It was tense the entire time. You never had the chance to sit back and take a breather. I was always on the edge of my seat. Is it me or did Christain Bale get hotter in the Batman?? ROAR!! Maybe it's because he's kinda of a bad boy after hitting hit mom and sister. Totally beside the point. Heath Ledger, wow! Are you sure that was even him? I'm not sure, didn't look a thing like him. Didn't sound a thing like him! WOW! Love it! It was such a haunting thrilling ride that you were able to become engrossed in immediately and in the end it left you wanting more! The story was great. the ending was great! I'm still a little shocked Rachel died. Did she really die? I can't believe. I'm a big Aaron Eckhart fan, i give him props!! Great Great Great movie!! I give it, 4 and 1/2 waffles.

Not gonna lie, after seeing this film, I'm not really surprised that Heath Ledger was having issues. His character was dark. I think he created and became the Joker better that the director could have ever imagined. He had to have a dark way of thinking to play this role. Unbelievable. He did a flawless job!

P.S. The picture of the Dark Knight was on the street in Hollywood that i took as we drove by!!!
