KILLER!!!!

I died laughing when i read this.. literally fell out of my chair! It was one of those things i would have paid big money to read with Karissa. This is an email that got my Adam. It's a good thing i'm not from Texas cuz i hate hot things. Mild salsa is too much for me! Read this.. enjoy it.. and laugh!!!

CHILI COOK OFF

If you can read this whole story without laughing out loud, then there's no hope for you. This is an actual account as relayed to paramedics at a chili cook-off in Texas Note: Please take time to read this slowly. If you pay attention to the first two judges, the reaction of the third judge is even better. For those of you who have lived in Texas , you know how true this is. They actually have a Chili Cook-off about the time Halloween comes around. It takes up a major portion of a parking lot at the San Antonio City Park .

Judge #3 was an inexperienced Chili taster named Frank, who was visiting from Springfield , IL . Frank:
'Recently, I was honoured to be selected as a judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table, asking for directions to the Coors Light truck, when the call came in. I was assured by the other two judges (Native Texans) that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy; and, besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted and became Judge 3.'

Here are the scorecard notes from the event:

CHILI # 1 - MIKE'S MANIAC MONSTER CHILI

Judge # 1 -- A little too heavy on the tomato. Amusing kick.
Judge # 2 -- Nice, smooth tomato flavour. Very mild.
Judge # 3 (Frank) -- Holy crap, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Texans are crazy.

CHILI # 2 - AUSTIN 'S AFTERBURNER CHILI

Judge # 1 -- Smoky, with a hint of pork. Slight jalapeno tang.
Judge # 2 -- Exciting BBQ flavour, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
Judge # 3 -- Keep this out of the reach of children. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich manoeuvre. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face.

CHILI # 3 - FRED'S FAMOUS BURN DOWN THE BARN CHILI

Judge # 1 -- Excellent firehouse chili. Great kick.
Judge # 2 -- A bit salty, good use of peppers.
Judge # 3 -- Call the EPA. I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now Get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back, now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. I'm getting ****-faced from all of the beer.

CHILI # 4 - BUBBA'S BLACK MAGIC

Judge # 1 -- Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
Judge # 2 -- Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.
Judge # 3 -- I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it. Is it possible to burn out taste buds? Sally, the beer maid, was standing behind me with fresh refills. This 300 lb. woman is starting to look HOT... just like this nuclear waste I'm eating! Is chili an aphrodisiac?

CHILI # 5 - LISA'S LEGAL LIP REMOVER

Judge # 1 -- Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
Judge # 2 -- Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
Judge # 3 -- My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. I farted, and four people behind me needed paramedics. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from the pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off. It really ticks me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming.

CHILI # 6 - VERA'S VERY VEGETARIAN VARIETY

Judge # 1 -- Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chiliGood balance of spices and peppers.
Judge # 2 -- The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, garlic. Superb.
Judge # 3 -- My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulfuric flames. I crapped on myself when I farted, and I'm worried it will eat through the chair. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that Sally. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my butt with a snow cone.

CHILI # 7 - SUSAN'S SCREAMING SENSATION CHILI

Judge # 1 -- A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
Judge # 2 -- Ho hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should take note that I am worried about Judge # 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.
Judge # 3 -- You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. My pants are full of lava to match my shirt. At least during the autopsy, they'll know what killed me.I've decided to stop breathing its too painful. I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach.

CHILI # 8 - BIG TOM'S TOENAIL CURLING CHILI

Judge # 1 -- The perfect ending, this is a niceblend chili. Not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
Judge # 2 -- This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge #3 farted, passed out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it. Poor feller, wonder how he'd have reacted to really hot chili? Judge
# 3 - No Report

Inconceivable

Last Tuesday i was BOUNCING off the walls, i was so EXCITED to go to Hawley Creek and spend 3 amazing days without any cares. I planned to be in Idaho Falls by 9am, to run to Walmart and pick up a few thing( I broke the lantern the night before while packing), then i was going to run to my office for a short appointment and then to Winco for food (i love their bulk). I got confuzzled on times and woke up a half hour earlier than i needed to.. so i was a half hour a head all day! I was able to run to Walmart and Winco, and i was able to pack my cooler before i went to the office. I know SHOCKER! So i went to the office and my appointment didn't show. I think i drove everyone crazy because i was so happy! Adam and i had a heated discussion about the definition of camping. He told me to take lots of deodorant because we didn't have a shower. I told him.. it isn't camping if their is a shower. Oh boy did he go off. I tried to get him to agree to disagree.. then he got even more heated, if you believe in something, don't stop fighting for it.. it was funny!

Finally i was on the road to bliss.

I took videos on my phone for Karissa, and sang my heart out! It was good fun! Then finally after a long hour and a half-ish i saw it.. 18 mile road and just beyond that my heaven!

Our camp is in the middle of those two mountains. I took my sweet time driving down that 18 mile road, i rolled down the window and took in the smells and felt the breeze, i listen for the sound of a flat tire, (i really thought i had one so i stopped and checked. I kept psyching myself out), then i started coughing really hard and decided that i should roll the windows up the dust was killing me, and before i knew it, there was the sign:

I drove the next mile and a half crossing my fingers and saying "please bless, please bless, please bless" i was hoping that "our" campsite was empty. As i pulled around the bend and not kidding i almost cried,

there was the campsite, empty. I pulled up next to the picnic table, jumped out and on to the table and raised my hands in the air and yelled, "WOO-HOO!" i was so happy! I sat there on top of the picnic table crossed legged and took it all in. I am a sound person. I love sounds. I listened to the birds chattering, the bugs buzzing,

and my beautiful Hawley Creek sing just for me!Oh it was utter paradise. This place is my heaven!

After about 15 minutes of taking in God's country, i got bored and tired of waiting for Chris and Renee to show up so i started getting ready for fishing!

Here are just some pics from trip:

On Wednesday night everyone had finally got there. We sat round the fire and chatted and told jokes and played "name that movie" It's my favorite part of camping. (every part is my favorite)

Everyone decided to go to bed but Michael, John V, and myself. We were talking and laughing while Michael put the fire out so we could go to bed. John looked up from the fire at Chris' tent and said, "Oh my gosh, that's a skunk!" We all jumped up and ran to other side of the fire. Sure enough there it was. The air mattress inside Chris' tent was pushed so hard against the tent that is was bulging out and the skunk was using it as a step to get into the garbage. It was hilarious. All we could do was stand there and say, "what do we do? What do we do?" The skunk fell out of the bag and sure enough he used that air mattress for a stepping stool again. Michael had the bright idea of getting the sling shot.. i told him no. So we waited and after a few minutes he fell out again and ran off. Michael the wise man that he is chased after the skunk and John and I grabbed all the garbage and dog food and anything else that would attract wild animals. Chris and his kids didn't hear a thing!

I bet you are wondering about the Tucker Curse. Well... Thursday morning the kids were riding their bikes and Cheyenne ran into Kassi and crashed. Kassi came running back into camp (why she didn't ride her bike back to camp i do not know) and told her dad that Chey fell and was hurt. Brian hopped on the 4-wheeler and picked her up. She had scrapes on her leg that were bleeding pretty good and her lip was starting to swell and i glanced at her wrist and knew immediately it was broken.

Klarice and Brian drove 45 minutes to salmon. She broke both bones (ulna and radius) They had to put her put and have an orthopedic surgeon set it. Then on they're way back they got a flat tire and had hike a mile and a half back into camp. Curse if I've ever heard of one!

The kids were going hiking

Chey couldn't go

You can't see them but they are on top of that huge rock through the trees

This is just a closer look

When Jana was 14 years old she was driving the truck into camp and ran into this tree.. it's never recovered that was 23 years ago!

This is with everyone here!

So pretty much this was our trip. I've been working on this blog for 4 days and to be honest.. I'm sick of it.. I loved camping.. it was amazing! There aren't words to describe how beautiful it was. It was perfect!

I took so many pictures that i wish i had to patience to let them all load to put them on here!

This is a picture of my feet before i left camping..

and this is them after!

Cursed

Every year we go camping we have a problem! Some one in our crew ends up with a flat tire, or two flat tires, or the four wheeler gets a flat tire, or the bumper on our truck falls off and we run over it and get a flat tire, or some one falls in the creek, or some one drives the four wheeler in the creek, or our dog dies, or just something dramatic happens! We've called it the Tucker curse!
We are hopping our curse came early this year, just 3 days before we go camping.

This is my nephew Todd he is almost 13. This morning he decided to take the four-wheeler out or a run.. We live on about 8 acres of land so, Not a big deal.. not unusual. They have one of their own and he is skilled in driving it. The adults are all in the house cleaning up breakfast, i was doing laundry, and we were all scattered about when...
My sweet nephew Cody (10yrs old) came walking into the house all nonchalant and cool like it's not a big deal and said "hey dad, Todd just drove the four-wheeler into the canal." My brother Chris jumped up and ran out the door to see Toddy yelling and waving his arms across the pasture on the bank of the canal. "Dad, Dad" was all it seemed he could get out. Chris took off running through the field and when he got to Todd he took everything out of his pockets and jumped in to try and save the 4 wheeler. I couldn't decide if i needed to go help. i wanted in on the action but wasn't sure if I'd be in the way or if i could help. Then i heard a four-wheeler, and see my brother in law Brian coming down the lane. I waved him down and hopped on.
I know i look like crap. I was really doing laundry though.. and i hadn't been outta bed too long. So Brian took off so fast i almost fall off the back, i had to dig my nails into him not to fall off. So we headed up to the canal searching for my Chris and my dad and whoever else had ran up there. We finally saw Chris
half submerged in the COLD canal with one hand holding a rope that was tied to the four-wheeler and the other holding tight to the grass on the bank. There is was our four-wheeler bobbing up and down in the water. Chris was exhausted. He'd been holding on there for about 20 mins while my dad ran back home to get the Truck and find away to get to the other side of the canal. He said he was about ready to let go just before we showed up. I took the rope from him and almost fell in myself cuz the current was so strong. He took a 30 second break and then the 3 of us tried to pull it out ourselves. Chris pushed from the water and Brian and i pulled the back but we just weren't quite enough. Just when we'd lost hope, my dad came pulling up in our old ugly worn out 1981 Chevy pick-up loaded with about 10 people. Everyone jumped out, we tied another rope on to the four-wheeler and started pulling again. Chris and Brian were both in the water pushing and the rest of us pulling. It wasn't that easy because they were pushing when we weren't pulling and we were pulling when they weren't pushing. All the sudden i heard my dad, "HEAVE-HO! HEAVE-HO!" I died laughing as everyone else joined in, "HEAVE-HO! HEAVE-HO!" we got into a rhythm and pulled the four-wheeler out of the canal and up the bank. IT was hilarious!

That easy part was done.. now what.. how do we get it to work. Well My Brother in law Brian is pretty smart about cars and stuff like this, so we go it home and we literally strung it up on a tree..
Brian worked on it all afternoon draining things and cleaning things. He just changed the oil last week, he had to do that again.

After all that the four-wheeler was running.. Do you believe that?? What a day. Todd is totally fine. It just scared him. He said he was trying to turn around and backed up too far and there he went. He said the only thing he thought as he fell in the water was "Oh Crap!" Too funny! I hope this brighten somebodies day. And pray that the curse hit us early!!

Finally!

Well Finally the weather here in Firth, Idaho has has warmed up. On Monday we put out pool up. This Pool is 18 feel wide and 5 feet deep!!

You have to stay in while the first few inches fill so you can get all t
he wrinkles out. The kids were so jealous i was the one that go to do it!

Tucker was more than thrilled to be watching!
These boys were dying to get in

JohnV got in to help.. He was all sportin' it cool like he was a hottie!!

Isn't he cute?? He hates it when i say that!

So today was the first day i was able to get into the pool. It was awesome!! I love the water!! I worked hard playing with my kids! I didn't take any pics cuz.. i was playing!! Happy Summer!!!
